Jacob Alan Gardiner, 21, no address listed, was arrested after a short car chase near the railroad crossing on Fountain Street near Vine Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was arrested by Albert Lea Police on charges of second-degree DWI, driving after revocation and fleeing a police officer.

Skunk in trouble

An Albert Lea police officer responded to a report of a skunk in the parking lot at 2215 E. Main St. about 9:28 p.m. Sunday. The skunk was observed with a cup over his head. The officer was unable to remove the cup, the police report said.

Driver arrested

Alvaro German Bustamanto, 32, no address listed, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. Sunday on warrants for third-degree DWI, driving after revocation, and no proof of insurance. New charges filed by Albert Lea Police Department are for second degree DWI, drive after revocation and open bottle.
