Tractors needed for new ride

Dale Grotsun and Nordean Krueger have announced that the very first Shinefest Tractor Ride will be held on July 18 and entries are needed for this event.

Applications are now available for this ride which will be limited to 60 pre-1974 tractors. The fee is $25 for tractor and driver and $20 for an additional rider.

The initial itinerary for this event is a breakfast at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and leaving the fairgrounds at 9 a.m. A coffee break will be held in Alden. and a light lunch break is scheduled in Freeborn. There will be afternoon coffee breaks in Hartland and Clarks Grove and a pork sandwich supper at the fairgrounds about 5 p.m.

Application forms are available at the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau office at Northbridge Mall, Fleet Farm Supply and at several area banks and service stations.
