Former Albert Lea basketball standout Ben Woodside went undrafted Thursday in the NBA draft in New York.
Woodside said Thursday he wasn’t expected to be drafted and his next move will be to attend the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Woodside worked out for 10 teams leading up to the draft, including the Timberwolves, Spurs, Heat, Kings, Bulls, Jazz, Nuggets, Blazers and Pistons.
Twenty-one NBA teams will compete in the NBA Summer League in a 55-game schedule.
The NBA Summer League will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion at the University of Nevada Las Vegas July 10-19.
“The next step for me is probably summer league and hope a team really likes me,” Woodside said Thursday before the NBA draft.
Woodside is considered a free agent now.
