The second time through the order proved more fruitful than the first Monday for the Lake Mills softball team as it knocked off Osage 5-1 in Osage.

The Bulldogs (18-10, 7-5 NIC) didn’t score until the fourth inning, but made the necessary adjustments at the plate in the fourth to score the first run of the game. Holly Buffington drove in Sara Chodur to take a 1-0 lead.

In the fifth Josie Brackey delivered a two-run single to make the game 3-0. Sammy Nelson and Morgan Aalgaard added RBI singles in the sixth.
