Debate immigration issue on facts, not feelings

This letter is in response to Mary Milliron’s letter of Wednesday, July 15, 2009, and her statement to not allow Paul Westrum to paint them with his ridiculous Communist-influenced brush or scream at them to “go home.”

Please let me explain. According to discoverthenetwork.org, Centro Campesino is a communist-influenced group. No city or town needs to listen to a group like this. That is why I said “tell them to go back home.” They have nothing to offer to make any community a better place. I have a VCR tape of one of their demonstrations. It is enough to make anyone hurl.

I have worked on the immigration issue since May 1, 1994, and have spoken to high schools, colleges, service clubs and church groups, and have been to Washington, D.C., to talk with members of Congress on four occasions. If I didn’t have a good message, I couldn’t have done this. Like my business card says, “A Common Sense Approach To Our Immigration Policy “ I have a lot of people around the country and here in Minnesota who work with me.
