Glenville-Emmons Legion loses third straight one-run game

For the third straight game the Glenville-Emmons American Legion team found itself on the wrong end of a one-run game Tuesday as it fell 5-4 to Stewartville in Glenville.
A pair of triples from Stewartville were the difference. In the third inning Stewartville got a bases loaded triple to take a 4-0 lead in the inning. Stewartville added another run in the seventh on an RBI triple to score an important insurance run.
Glenville-Emmons had a threat in the bottom of the seventh with runners on the corner, but a 6-4-3 double play ended the game and Glenville-Emmons was only able to score one run in the inning.
Jon Mittag struck out 10 and allowed four earned runs on five hits in seven innings of work for Glenville-Emmons.
Glenville-Emmons faces New Richland Thursday in Glenville.
