The organization received a $100 donation from the coffee shop. Discussion was held and it was decided that the donation will be used to purchase a new coffee maker.
Old business started out with Sandy announcing that the by laws have been revised and copies are available to anyone that wishes to have a copy. Next, all of the sewn items from the community sewing group have been distributed. There were various non-profit organizations that benefited from their hard work.
New business: The running of the coffee shop has been taken over by the Auxiliary. Val has agreed to be the main person in charge and other auxiliary members will be available as back ups. The money raised will be given to a different non-profit organization each month.
Discussion was held concerning the education challenge of donating 10 cents per member to the education fund. It was agreed to donate $10 to this fund.
Discussion was also held concerning the Auxiliary Emergency Fund Challenge. This would consist of donating 25 cents per member. It was agreed to send $15 to the Auxiliary Emergency Fund.
Three community families have been contacted to see if they would like to participate in the Blue Star Banner program.
The officers will be the same for the upcoming year as they were this year. The secretary will get the unit officer list mailed in to the two places that need this information.
Anderson reported on the Poppy program. She has contacted most of the Freeborn businesses. Girls will be out and about asking individual households if they would be interested in supporting the Poppy program.
It was decided that the group will not meet during the months of June, July or August. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on Sept. 19.
