Slashing victim treated, released

The 38-year-old woman who was reportedly slashed in the neck with a sword on Tuesday night has been treated and released from Albert Lea Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman. The woman, Rainy Patricca, was allegedly slashed in the neck while in an apartment at 121 1/2 N. Broadway Ave. in Albert Lea. She ran down the street to the Inkaholics tattoo parlor, where a 911 call was made.

Man cited for excessive speed and DWI

Police cited Gabriel Lynn Halvorsen for fourth-degree DWI and speed, 77 mph in a 40 mph zone, after at 11:29 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Fountain Street and Minnesota Highway 13, police reports stated.

Vehicle reported damaged

Tires were reported slashed and a vehicle was reported kicked in on the 500 block of Eighth Street in Albert Lea at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday, according to reports.

Items missing from apartment

A lock was reported damaged and items were reported missing from an apartment on the 700 block of Water Street at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, reports stated.

Man arrested after fight

Police arrested Timothy John Steven for fleeing on foot, misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct after a reported fight outside Harold’s Bar on 1318 E. Main St. at 1:08 a.m. Thursday, according to police reports.

Fire reported

A grass fire was reported in the ditch of Interstate 35 near mile marker 18 at 5:03 p.m. Thursday, reports stated.

Teenager cited

Police cited Christopher Wayne Conley, 17, for minor consumption and disorderly conduct at 11:59 p.m. Thursday at 702 E. Main St. in Albert Lea, according to reports.
