Thirty-year-old Joshua Quincy Hill was arrested at about 3 a.m. Thursday after police received a call of a 33-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman who were reportedly held at gunpoint at 709 S. Washington Ave. Two men had reportedly broken into their home.

What the men sought has not been released by authorities.

Upon arrival at the duplex, officers discovered that the suspects were in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and had fled in a blue Chevy Malibu.

A vehicle matching the description was stopped a short distance later near the intersection of College Street and Euclid Avenue.

Upon stopping, the driver of the car fled, and Hill, the passenger of the car, was taken into custody without incident.
