A big red bus equipped to deliver $60 million worth of free health screenings is coming to Albert Lea on Sunday as part of the national AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour.
The bus will be at the Albert Lea Walgreens on 703 E. Main St. from noon to 6 p.m. Screenings are recommended for adults age 18 and older.
During the stop, people will have access to six free health screenings including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, waist circumference and bone density tests. The tests are about $140 in value, and no insurance or appointment is needed. Results are instant.
The screenings will help provide adults with early disease detection and prevention.
Additionally, everyone who visits the tour will receive a free one year membership to AARP.
