The Albert Lea Public Library Children’s Room recognized Readers of the Week during its summer reading program.

Michaela Nelson is 9 years old. Her parents are Andy and Angie, and she has two brothers, Zachary and Christian, and one sister Nataleigh. She has two fish and a cat named Tinkerbell. She likes to play outside, soccer and basketball. Her favorite book is “Happy Birthday Josephina” because “she gets to take care of the lamb and she helps a friend whose been bit by a rattlesnake,” she said.

Bryce Collins is 5 years old and will be in kindergarten at Sibley this fall. His parents are Barb and Marc and he has a brother, Tommy, and a sister, Sydney. He likes to play baseball and soccer. His favorite book is “Tell Me a Scary Story —But Not Too Scary!” He likes the part “when the guy scared the boy and then let him wear the mask,” he said.
