Paul Preston Young, no age or address listed, was arrested by Albert Lea police who responded to a report of a weapon being discharged at the Super 8 Motel, 2019 E. Main St., about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Young was charged with second-degree assault, terroristic threats and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Fire at SoyMor

A fire in the laboratory at the SoyMor plant, west of Glenville on 780th Avenue, was reported at 2:39 p.m. Thursday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. The Glenville Fire Department responded. There was no loss listed on the sheriff’s report and the Tribune was unable to contact SoyMor representatives.
