Beverly Espe, 72

Memorial services for Beverly F. Espe of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. George Marin will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Beverly died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 72 years of age.
Beverly was born on May 12, 1937, in Stewartville, the daughter of Cecil and Ione (Smith) Brown. She attended public school in Stewartville.
On Feb. 12, 1977, she was united in marriage to Merlin Espe in Byron. Together they moved to Albert Lea, where they have lived ever since.
Beverly had been employed for a short time as a home health aide in Mower and Freeborn counties.
Beverly was a very kind and caring person and enjoyed word search books and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband, Merlin, of Albert Lea; daughter, Kim Raben, of Rochester; and granddaughter, Amy Toot. One brother survives, Darrell (Marilynn) Brown, of Viola, and sister-in-law, Trena (Marvin) Espe, of Albert Lea. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard; and grandmother, Effie (William) Brown.
