Frank Bradford

Frank A. Bradford, 75, of Albert Lea, passed away Sept. 23, 2009, at St. Johns Lutheran Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Frank was born in La Habra, Calif, March 17, 1934, to Frank L. and Zelma Bradford. He was raised in Coalinga, Calif. He graduated from Coalinga High School in 1952. He attended Coalinga Junior College before going to the University of California, Berkley. He was drafted into the Army and served in Fort Bragg, N.C. He was proud to have been on the U.S. Army baseball team there.
In the late 1950’s he started computer programming training at System Development Corp., in Santa Monica, Calif. He then moved to Marysville, Calif., North Dakota, Massachusetts and Colorado with the same company. He also worked for the Philco Corp. in Illinois, Aeroneutronics in Newport Beach, Calif., Arthur Young & Co. in Sacramento, Calif., Cable Data in Sacramento and many more. After retiring in Albert Lea, he enjoyed working with the local people and their computer problems. That was his hobby and his life.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Lee and Zelma Bradford of Coalinga, Calif.; his sister, Edna Jane Santos of Pico Rivera, Calif.; many uncles, aunts and cousins; his father-in law and mother-in-law, Merle and Lillian Michaelson of Albert Lea.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne of Albert Lea; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mari Bradford; three grandchildren, Tyler, Finn and Ella Bradford, all of Roseville, Cailf.; son, Barry Bradford of Albert Lea; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rodney and Jane Michaelson of Alden; two nieces, Katie Michaelson of St. Paul; and Susan Gibson of Los Angeles.
There will be no memorial service at this time.
