Man transported for head injuries

An 18-year-old man was transported to Rochester Tuesday evening for internal cranial bleeding after an alleged altercation on Madison Avenue.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday at 814 Madison Ave.
Reports indicated Ricky Morgan, 18, and Tyler Edwards, 18, were allegedly drinking and got into a fight over a girlfriend.
During the fight, Edwards fell and cracked his head. He was transported to Albert Lea Medical Center and later to Rochester.
Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said the Police Department has requested illegal consumption charges for both young men and are awaiting to get back medical reports to determine whether Morgan will be considered for assault charges.
One cited for illegal consumption
Police cited Faustino Alexander Moreno for illegal consumption at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday after receiving an anonymous complaint of partying in the back yard, reports stated.
Church broken into
First Baptist Church at 335 W. Clark St. was reported broken into at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to reports.
One injured after crash
Michael Cottrell was transported by private vehicle to Albert Lea Medical Center after an injury traffic crash near the intersection of Lakeview Boulevard and Wedge Street at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday, according to reports.
