Published 8:27 am Friday, September 18, 2009
Sunday worship, Sept. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 702 Highway 69 S., will be led by the Stratford Rhythm Ramblers. This band is well known in central and northwest Iowa. The group plays a variety of music — old favorites, country, waltzes, polkas and gospel. The words set to the music are words of “praise and thanksgiving to God” and are uplifting to the Spirit.
Members of the band are Dixie Johnson of Straford, Iowa, on accordion; Charlie Claussen of rural Ft. Dodge, Iowa, is the vocalist and plays keyboard and bass Lloyd Joiner of Rutland, Iowa, plays trumpet, and Don Redman of Gowrie, Iowa, plays drums.
Everyone is welcome. An offering to cover expenses will be received. Lunch will follow in the church social hall.
