Walz deserves kudos for fighting pollution

Minnesotans, indeed all American citizens, are deeply indebted to Congressman Tim Walz for his actually serving as the lion’s share of Americans are pleading! He has voted for the ACES bill, and is supporting the public-option health initiative. If I understand correctly, he is also in favor of the universal health proposal. My wife and I are so very grateful to him and all legislators voting on behalf of these measures.
The ACES bill has received enormous resistance from industries that enjoy dirty coal and oil. Supporting that bill means Minnesotans, indeed, all Americans can enjoy a cleaner environment, hence, healthier and longer lives, much as with universal health care. But the ACES bill also spurs investment in renewables and efficiency and clean, affordable, energy. All these will stifle horrific social unrest and suffering that will doubtlessly occur over future years if the “same old” is allowed to be perpetuated.
Mr. Walz is performing much as Paul Wellstone did. We are so very proud of his similar courage and integrity. He will certainly continue having our support and vote. Those legislators who continue resisting and voting against energy, environmental, and health issues, will find themselves on my CREEPS (Chronicly Resisting Environmental & Energy Policy Systems) list, which will be going national. It is designed to be effectively a “hit” list to send those sorts of legislators’ home, regardless of party affiliation.
We are “foreigners” who moved to Albert Lea from out of state slightly more than two years ago. We are very proud to call ourselves Minnesotans! We wish other states could be so lucky.
