Erika Blickenderfer and Mikaela Pierson were the only Tigers to advance to the second round of the Section 1AA girls’ tennis individual tournament Thursday.

Blickendefer and Pierson defeated Hastings’ Jessica Wassink and Hailey Lunquist 6-2, 6-1. But in the second round, Rochester Mayo’s Jacqueline Cliby and Paige Becher were too much and came through with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Blickenderfer and Pierson.

Michelle Hartmann played against Mayo’s Marika Pitot in the first round and fell 6-0, 6-0.

Amy Bohlen faced Hastings’ Morgan Tjomsland and fell 6-2, 6-1.

The doubles team of Taylor Nelson and Sarah Wenum lost 7-5, 6-3 against Hastings’ Kirsten Peterson and Shanna Burgmeier in the first round.
