Albert Lea High School.
7 p.m.
Tonight.
In the auditorium.
Get there early to get a seat.
It is the celebration of the AARP/Blue Zones Vitality Project. It is the big ceremony reflects on an effort to make Albert Leans healthy through simple changes and altering the local environment.
More than 1,200 attended the kickoff in May. We urge everyone and anyone who attended that event and who participated in the Vitality Project at some point during the past 10 months in Albert Lea to attend.
Making Albert Lea healthier is good for the citizens of this city. It has been somewhat of an awakening for people who have similar health interest to get to know each other. By connecting, they have found shared interests of healthy lifestyles. It truly is an effort that ought to be replicated by other cities.
The event tonight is a great opportunity to find out how to continue the good mojo for coming years.
It is the end of the project, but not the end of healthy changes in Albert Lea.
Let’s put it in sports terms: The football has been handed off. It is all of our roles to carry it to the end zone — longevity.
