James Staloch, 59

James Edward Staloch of Littleton, Colo., passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, after a courageous battle against cancer. A memorial service was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Colorado.
Jim was born Jan. 9, 1950, to Edward and Marjorie Staloch in Albert Lea. Jim was the eldest of 12 children. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1968. Jim served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He married Judy Voeck and her three children in February 1975. Together Jim and Judy had a son, David. Most recently Jim was employed by Coors Brewing Co. Jim loved spending time with his children, family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and world travel.
Jim is survived by his children: Deborah (Mark) West of Fort Collins, Colo., Scott (Sue) Voeck of Arvada, Colo., Lucinda (George) Ranney of Wisconsin and David (Christie) Staloch of Parker, Colo.; four grandchildren: Miranda and Lucas West, Matthew Voeck, and Felicity Staloch; father, Edward Staloch of Albert Lea; siblings Barb (Rande) Haukoos of Forest City, Iowa, Joanne (Ross) Knutson of Albert Lea, Mary (Butch) Nelson of Rochester, Bob (Sue Staloch) of Albert Lea, Kathleen (Ron) Tustin of Spring, Texas, Michael (Susie) Staloch of Midland, Mich., David (Janet) Staloch of Rochester, Theresa (Tim) Jensen of Albert Lea; nephews: Jeremy (Nikki) Haukoos, Matthew Haukoos, Aric (Nicky) Knutson, Jake Knutson, Joe Knutson, Dan Nelson, Brian Staloch and Ray Tustin; nieces: Sydney (Darren) Shone, Emily Staloch, Kirsten Staloch, Erin Haukoos, Megan Haukoos, Renae (Nick) Axt, Wendy Carlsen, Anne Carlsen, Kassi Reich, Christine Staloch, Amy Staloch, Jilt Jensen and Jennifer Jensen.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; mother, Marjorie; brothers: Mark and John Francis; sister, Ann Marie; and sister-in-law, Leah Staloch.
