Matt Severson

The celebration of Matt John Severson’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9600 163rd St. W, Lakeville, with the Rev. Bill Bohline officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial service.
Matthew died on Sunday morning, Oct. 11, 2009, in Minneapolis. Matthew was born May 1, 1977, in Albert Lea. He graduated from Lakeville High School in 1996. Matt was very active in football and track during high school, and he continued his football career at the University of Stout in Menomenie, Wis. Matt finished his collegiate career after earning a bachelors degree from Winona State in 2001. To say that Matt enjoyed life is an understatement. He lived life to the fullest every day. He was generous, compassionate and always brought fun and energy to those around him. To say it simply, his smile and humor was contagious. Matt enjoyed boating, water sports, golfing, snowmobiling, participating in numerous sports leagues, and most of all, Matt enjoyed being with family and friends.  
Matt is survived by his mother, Gwen Saul; father, Robert Severson; sister, Krista Peterson; nieces: Madeline and Molly Peterson; grandmother, Elna Pestorious; step father, William Saul; step mother, Vickie Severson; step brothers and sisters: Jenna Muggli, Krista Hustad, Jessie Saul, Nathan Saul, Garth Saul, and Emily Saul; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
