President Cindy Nelson and Sandy Erickson, members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 264, Glenville, attended the 77th annual Fall Conference held at the Breezy Point Conference Center on Oct. 23-24.

State President Marsha Bible of Waite Park was the presiding officer. Her department president’s project this year is special programs and activities at the five Minnesota Homes and the four VA Medical Centers.

A National Security and a Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation workshop was held Thursday prior to the conference.

Rita Navarrete, national president from Albuquerque, N.M., was the special guest from the National organization. Also sharring their experiences were the 2009 Girls Nation Senators from Minnesota Girls State, Jeanel Mouelle from Brooklyn Park and Stephanie Winsor from Ivor Grove Heights.

Throughout the conference the state chairwomen presented their programs for this auxiliary year. Others addressing the Conference were Department Finance Chairman, Sandy Fredrickson. She addressed the assembly with updates from each units bookkeeping records.
