Motorists will encounter new traffic patterns on Interstate 90 between Albert Lea and Alden beginning today, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Both directions of traffic were previously routed on the eastbound lanes. The new traffic pattern will be single lane on both the east and westbound lanes.
Crews will be removing the crossover medians that were used during construction and will complete miscellaneous clean-up work.
Freeborn County Road 46 will remain closed as crews finish shoulder work and construct turn lanes.
Ulland Brothers Inc. is the prime contractor for the $16 million construction projects. Both projects should be completed by mid-November, weather permitting.
