At 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Southwest Middle School will host a 30-minute program honoring veterans. The program will be held in the Southwest gymnasium. All veterans from the community are welcome to attend and be recognized; many will be there as participants as well. Michael Funk, Albert Lea Area Schools superintendent, will give the program address. In addition, middle school choral and band students will provide patriotic music for the event. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
