Vivian Cadwell

Funeral services for Vivian G. Cadwell of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. James Berning and the Rev. Mike Ellis will be officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Alden Cemetery.
Vivian died Friday afternoon, Nov. 27, 2009, at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Home. She was 99 years of age.
Vivian was born Nov. 3, 1910, near Moscow, the daughter of Leslie and Grace (Ostrander) Register. She graduated from high school in Alden, where she resided until 1962 when she moved to Albert Lea.
Vivian was united in marriage to Hjalmar Petersen on Dec. 22, 1933. He died in 1958. On Feb. 14, 1962, she was married to Kenton Cadwell who passed away in l996.
Vivian was employed for many years in sales at Montgomery Ward in Albert Lea. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, an active member of the Flower Club of Albert Lea and the Audubon Society. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and had cookies for anyone who stopped by. Vivian and Kenton were members of a camping club for many years.
Vivian is survived by her sons Alan (Louise) Petersen of Austin, Ross (Francis) Petersen of Mission, Texas, and Keith Register of New Richland. There are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. One sister survives, Mary Jean Pagenkopf of Albert Lea.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Hjalmar and Kenton; son Richard (Denise) Petersen; brothers Gordon, John and Alan Register; and sister Patricia Hitchcock.
