Students from the Albert Lea area were among the more than 300 Wartburg College students involved in the 2009 performances of Christmas with Wartburg in Waverly, Iowa. This year’s theme was “Tidings of Great Joy!”

Performances were Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Members of St. Elizabeth Chorale, the college’s women’s choir, and Ritterchor, the men’s choir, joined the Wartburg Choir, Castle Singers, and Wind Ensemble for several group selections.

Area students involved in the 2009 performances of Christmas with Wartburg are (listed by music group):

St. Elizabeth’s Chorale — Katie Braun, senior, soprano, daughter of Keith and Sue Braun of Northwood, Iowa; and Randene Davis, first-year, soprano, daughter of Lance and Sharon Davis of Glenville.
