Bulldog girls unable to climb out of first half hole

A strong first half was enough for Estherville to get past the Lake Mills girls’ basketball team Saturday in Estherville.
The Bulldogs (7-2) had a six-game winning streak snapped in a 44-31road loss.
Estherville took a 29-15 lead at halftime and maintained that margin for the majority of the second half.
Amanda Lampman scored eight points for Lake Mills, while Estherville was led by Emily Kirchner’s 15 points.
The Bulldogs resume play Monday against Forest City.
