Elnora Wangen Krueger is celebrating her 90th birthday on Jan. 1. She might not remember her exact age but she can tell people she is a 1920 Minnesota Norwegian girl. She was born near Hayward and confirmed at Oakland Lutheran Church. She and her husband made there home in the Pickerel Lake area till the Missouri move. Her brother Omer (Geri) Wangen lives in Austin. Many nieces, nephews and cousins reside in Freeborn County.
