Employee theft reported

A report by the Albert Lea police filed at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday stated, a “17-year-old male employee admitted to stealing $1,700 worth of merchandise” from Shopko, 2610 N. Bridge Ave.

Problems on the interstate

Deputies from the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office either assisted the Minnesota State Patrol or took care of a full dozen accidents on Interstate 35 in the Albert Lea area on Tuesday.

Minor injuries were only reported on two people at one of the accident scenes. Most of the accidents reportedly involved vehicle rollovers or going into the ditch.

Vehicle tire slashed

A report was filed with the Albert Lea police Tuesday morning regarding a vehicle tire being slashed at a residence in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. The damages are estimated to be $200.
