Film rescheduled for Albert Lea High

Published 7:39 am Tuesday, December 15, 2009

I’d like to announce a last-minute change in location for the next film in the Paths to Peace film series. Originally scheduled at Riverland Community College, “The Friendship Village” will instead be shown in the Albert Lea High School auditorium this Thursday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m.

This film is offered as a Community Education event. Admission is free. Please use the high school’s commons doors as you would for a play or sporting event.

This powerful and inspiring 50-minute documentary focuses on Vietnam War veteran George Mizo and the village he and other veterans established in Vietnam to serve the needs of children with Agent Orange-related disabilities. A brief discussion of the film will follow the showing.
