Glenn Gullikson, 63

Glenn Gullikson, 63, of Bricelyn, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at his home in Bricelyn from natural causes. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at North Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Brush Creek Township, Faribault County. The Rev. Patricia Hinkie and the Rev. Ed Nieman will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Glenn Frederick Gullikson was born July 6, 1946, in Albert Lea, the son of Marvin F.A. and Ruth B. (Hovland) Gullikson. On Feb. 23, 1974, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane (Hanson) in Clarks Grove. The couple adopted a son, Brian, as a baby. The couple later divorced. On Jan. 6, 2001, he married Linda (Erickson) Klingbeil at North Blue Earth Church.
Glenn was a member of North Blue Earth Lutheran Church. He was actively involved with Kiester Boy Scouts Troop 30 where he served as an assistant Scoutmaster during Brian’s time in the Scouts. He owned and operated Glenn’s Cenex Service where he had worked for over 40 years. The past 10 years Glenn owned Brush Creek Boutique with his wife Linda where he did crafts, craft shows, selling and arranging flowers. He also drove school bus for the last 2 1/2 years for USC School and he really enjoyed the kids on his route. Glenn also enjoyed visiting with everyone. He especially enjoyed giving candy to the kids.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Gullikson of Bricelyn; son, Brian (Amy) Gullikson of Eagan; stepchildren: Katie (Al) Hanson of Robbinsdale, Ryan Klingbeil of Brooklyn Park and Eric Klingbeil of Plymouth; granddaughter, Carissa Hanson, and two grandchildren on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Jane in 2000; brother, Lowell, in 2005; and stepmother, Beth Gullikson, in June 2009.
