A banged up United South Central wrestling team traveled to Medford Thursday to get a glimpse of where it stood in terms of the section and the Rebels got an inconclusive answer following a 50-24 defeat to the Tigers.
USC was without Dustin Dylla and Zach Wigern Thursday and lost every close match it was involved in to Medford.
Jay Staloch lost 3-2 at 112 to Nolan Green and Preston Staloch lost 10-7 to Cole Kavitz at 145 pounds.
The Rebels also lost five matches by fall.
USC eighth-grader Dylan Herman continued his strong start with a pinfall victory over Medford’s Wes Ohnstad at 103 pounds while Dylan Thisius, A.J. Dreyer and Tony Willette also pinned their opponents.
The Rebels host a quadrangular with Madelia-Truman, St. Peter and Lake Mills/Northwood-Kensett (Iowa) Tuesday.
