As part of the 56th anniversary, Stadheim Jewelers did a special promotion to assist the Ecumenical Food Pantry at First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea.
For the week of Nov. 16-21, Stadheim Jewelers replaced watch batteries free for anyone bringing two nonperishable food items to the Albert Lea store. The promotion generated 197 pounds of food.
Mark Stadheim said, “We want to thank the many people who participated in our 56th anniversary food drive. The food shelves always face a higher demand this time of year, and we were glad to help. Any of us, due to circumstances beyond our control, could require the assistance of the food shelf someday, so we urge everyone to help out the food shelves in Albert Lea as much as they can.”
In addition to the food drive, Stadheim Jewelers also made a cash contribution to the Ecumenical Food Pantry to purchase other needed items for the holidays.
Stadheim Jewelers in Austin and Mason City also did food drives that were very successful.
