A Tulsa man has been arrested on a first-degree murder complaint in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in southern Minnesota.

Police say 21-year-old Ryan Hurd was arrested Friday in west Tulsa after the body of 19-year-old Kathryn Rose Anderson of Eagan was found Thursday along a highway near Owatonna.

Jail records did not indicate whether Hurd has an attorney.

A coroner said Anderson died of “homicidal injuries” and authorities in Minnesota said Hurd and Anderson were acquaintances.

According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, a passerby found Anderson’s body at 7:45 a.m. Thursday along 30th Street NW and County Road 17 about six miles northwest of Owatonna.
