Another big performance from Kalli VanRyswyk helped lead the Glenville-Emmons girls’ basketball team to another victory.

VanRyswyk scored the game-winning basket with 30 seconds to play on a putback to lift the Wolverines (2-1) to a victory against Randolph Friday in Adams at the Southland Rebel Classic.

VanRyswyk scored 27 points and hauled in 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and second 20-plus point performance.

Glenville-Emmons trailed by one at halftime and was losing by five with four minutes to play, but Reina Saltou sank a pair of free throws to get the Wolverines within one and VanRyswyk delivered again.

After turning the ball over 17 times in the first half, Glenville-Emmons had just four in the second half.

“We took care of the ball in the second half, which was a big difference,” said Wolverines head coach Lisa Ziebell.
