Viking girls’ rebound with victory over Central Springs

After suffering a defeat at the hands of Lake Mills Thursday night, the Northwood-Kensett girls’ basketball team came out firing on all cylinders on Friday night as it defeated Central Springs 46-35.
The Vikings (3-1) took a 28-15 lead into halftime and never looked back. Northwood-Kensett put the clamps down on the Panthers (1-5) allowing only five first quarter points.
The Vikings were led by Kate Hartman as she scored 21 points, while Brooke Claussen recorded nine points, Jami Dahlby chipped in 6 points.
Central Springs was led by Kaitlyn Bartel, who led all scorers with 22 points.
Northwood-Kensett is in action on Tuesday as it will host West Fork.
