After suffering a tough loss on Tuesday night against Forest City, the Lake Mills boys’ basketball team tried to get back on the winning side of things Friday night as it played North Iowa in Lake Mills.

The Bulldogs found themselves trailing to the Bison at the half 32-26, but Lake Mills turned the corner in the third quarter as it outscored North Iowa 18-8 to take the lead.

Marcus Gaskill recorded a double-double to lead the Bulldogs. Gaskill recorded 14 points, while pulling down 11 rebounds. Two other Lake Mills players scored in double figures as Chris Throne had a game-high 17 points, and Jordan Colby also chipped in 10 points. Alex Grunhovd recorded eight assists for the Bulldogs.

North Iowa was led by Eric Krull, who scored 15 points. Nic Hassebrook also recorded 12 points on the night.

The Bulldogs played North Sentral Kossuth on Saturday.
