John “Johnny” Talamantes, 23, no address listed, was arrested by Albert Lea police early today and is in custody on charges of aggravated robbery, second degree assault and making terroristic threats.

According to police reports, the incidents involving Talamantes started at 6 p.m. Tuesday when he reportedly threatened an individual with a firearm and struck that person with the butt of the gun. The Albert Lea S.W.A.T. team was activated and served a search warrant at an address in the 100 block of West Clark Street.

The warrant was issued because of a potential of weapons and the threat made to use them, according to a police department spokesman.
