Minnesota musicians perform for relief efforts in Haiti

This weekend brings several benefit performances by Twin Cities-area musicians to support earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.
Starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Arnellia’s in St. Paul hosted a “Haiti Mi Amour Fundraiser” with live performances by One Mic Productions, Desdamona Rox, Toni Paul, Kendra Glenn and others.
At 2 p.m. on Sunday, musicians Robert Robinson, Timothy Frantzich, Jerry Steele and others will perform at Chanhassen High School. Also on Sunday afternoon, Open Sing is performing Mozart’s Requiem at the Church of the Epiphany in Plymouth. Suggested $10 donations go to the international relief organization CARE.
The following Saturday, veterans comedians from around the Twin Cities will give two performances at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret in Bloomington with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund.
