North Iowa downs Lake Mills girls

The Lake Mills girls’ basketball team tried to stay on the winning track Friday night as it played North Iowa Conference rival North Iowa in Lake Mills.
The Bison used a fast start in the first half to go into the break with a 20-14 lead. In the third quarter, the Bulldogs (8-4,5-3 NIC) were only able to score two points while North Iowa put up 16 points.
Lake Mills battled back to outscore the Bison in the fourth quarter, but the damage was already done.
Lindy Pins recorded 15 points on the night for the Bulldogs while Amanda Lampman and Morgan Fjelstad both scored seven points.
North Iowa had two scorers in double figures. Amber Paden and Samantha Gelhaus both recorded 13 points for the Bison.
Lake Mills played North Sentral Kossuth on Saturday, results were not known when this edition went to press.
