Sylvia E. Trish, 90, of Grinnell, Iowa, and formerly of Albert Lea, died on Jan. 16, 2010, in Grinnell.
Mass of the Resurrection was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell with the Rev. Nick Adam, pastor of the church, officiating. The lector was Elizabeth Dobbs. Music was provided by Dr. William Tinker, organist, Milton Severe, soloist, and St. Mary’s Choir. Interment will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, at a later date. The Smith Funeral Home of Grinnell was in charge of arrangements. 
Should friends desire, memorials in Sylvia’s name may be directed to the fine arts department of the Grinnell High School and sent in care of: Barbara Trish, 1403 Summer St, Grinnell, IA 50112.

She was born in Redfield, S.D., on Feb. 8, 1919, to August and Hedvig (Kollewe) Andersen. She married Kenneth W. Reinaas in 1941. Widowed in 1954, she married John C. Trish in 1959. Their combined family moved from South Dakota to Albert Lea, where she resided for 30 years and where she was an active member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. She lived in Grinnell for the past two decades, first with family and then in her apartment at the Mayflower Community until December 2009. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Kenneth W. Reinaas and John C. Trish (1974); brothers: Harry Andersen, John Andersen and Ejner Andersen; twin newborn sons: Phillip and John Reinaas; daughter, Ann Reinaas; son, John T. Trish; and grandsons: Marc Rearden and Paul Rearden.
She is survived by her sister, Alice Schap of Ormond Beach, Fla.; brother, Paul (Millie) Andersen of Austin, Texas; children: Phillip K. (Margaret) Reinaas of San Antonio, Texas, Susan (Robert) Rearden of Ft. Worth, Texas, Terry (Carol) Trish of Phoenix, Ariz., Nancy (Frank) Calderon of Saratoga, Calif., Steven Trish of Santa Ana, Calif., and Barbara Trish (Bill Menner) of Grinnell; as well as 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
