The Albert Lea Thunder climbed to within six points of North Iowa Sunday with a 4-1 victory at City Arena.

Patrick Kinkopf and Alex Niestrom put the Thunder (10-23-5) up 2-0 after the first period.

The Outlaws cut the lead to 2-1 in the third period when Ben Danford scored, but Zach May and Anthony Iaquinto added goals for the 4-1 final.

Joe Rogers got his eighth victory of the season by making 35 saves in net for Albert Lea.

The Thunder play Bismarck Friday in Bismarck.
