The Albert Lea wrestling team rested some starters Thursday against John Marshall in Rochester and still rolled to a 64-9 victory.
The Tigers (13-10) got their sixth consecutive victory with some starters in order to avoid match count issues and those filling in performed well.
“We had an opportunity to wrestle a lot of guys that haven’t had a lot of varsity experience,” said Albert Lea assistant coach Neal Skaar.
Albert Lea recorded five falls, including falls from Dakota Wangsness at 103 pounds, Tylor Nelson at 112, Brandon Ranum at 130, Brody Larson at 135, Trevor Rasmussen at 140 and Caleb Gaudian at 189.
The Tigers head to Northfield Saturday for the Northfield Invitational.
