W-E-M rallies past USC girls

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown powered past the United South Central girls’ basketball team in the second half for a 49-41 victory Tuesday in Waterville.
The Rebels held a 16-14 advantage at halftime, but the Buccaneers outscored USC 35-25 in the second half.
Kayla Stenzel led the Rebels with 11 points and nine rebounds while Val Sahr, Katie Ovrebo and Taylor Allis each had seven points.
Amanda Barton led Waterville-Elysian-Morristown with 17 points.
The Rebels play Blooming Prairie Thursday in Wells.
