You can be part of the political process

Citizens are encouraged to attend their precinct caucus. This is a friendly gathering of neighbors to exercise your rights in the political process. It is an opportunity during an election year to talk issues and influence positions the party takes, as well as declare your choice for candidates. Delegates are elected to represent your precinct at later conventions. You are eligible to be a delegate if you choose.

This is grass roots. Our votes at this level carry a lot ot weight. We aren’t happy with all the things the government is doing “to us.” Step up and take some responsibility. Attend your precinct caucus.

The Republicans meet at 7 p.m. at the Albert Lea High School and the DFL Party meets at the Moose Club.
