Churches to share Lenten worship

Again this year, churches of different denominations in the community are sharing mid-week Lenten services. The public is invited.
The theme chosen for this year is “The Prayers of Jesus.”
Mid-week services are held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, will be hosted by United Methodist, 702 Hwy. 69 S., with the Rev. Mark Boorsma preaching. Wednesday, March 10, will be at First Presbyterian, 308 Water St, with the Rev. Rolf Wangberg preaching. Wednesday, March 17, will be hosted by Ascension Lutheran at 1101 Hwy, 69 S., and the Rev. John Bromeland will be preaching. A time of fellowship with refreshments will follow each of the evening services.
In addition to the evening services, a 11 a.m. Lenten worship service followed by soup lunch is offered each week at Ascension Lutheran. All are invited.
Wednesday, March 24, and the following week (Holy Week) worship opportunities are provided in individual churches.
