Ethel Korn, 83

Ethel E. Korn, 83, of Wells, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Pathstone Living in Mankato. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. The Rev. Meg Sander will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.
Ethel was born April 10, 1926, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Huper) Gerber. On Aug. 28, 1946, she married Luvern A. Korn in Walters. She was a lifelong resident of the Wells and Walters area, where she was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ethel was well known for her baking. She made wedding cakes and cakes for all occasions for many of her friends and relatives. She dearly loved her children and her grandchildren.
Ethel is survived by five children: Alice (Richard) Their of Rushmore, Ray (Rhonda) Korn of Wells, Irene (Lonnie) Dylla of North Mankato, Ron (Marlys) Korn of Wells and Tim (Christine) Korn of North Mankato; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Luvern, in 1995.
