My name is David Smith, but I am also known as Cannonball Smith and worked last year at the Freeborn County Fair. I had a piggy bank there to earn money for a young deaf girl to have an operation. Fairgoers contributed to the piggy bank and helped to make the operation possible on Jan. 19. She is doing well.

Thanks to all those who put a contribution in the big piggy bank. The deaf girl’s operation, that you made possible, went very well. She sends her thanks.
