Haiti needs to stand on its own two feet

I watched the news channel last Saturday, and they talked about Haiti and some other countries that are poor. If a lot of these countries would learn to take care of themselves they wouldn’t be so poor. When you’re poor and don’t have anything, you don’t sit back and make babies. How dumb can you get? All you’re doing is making things worse. I can’t remember how many kids it said that get turned over to the orphanage each year in Haiti, but it was in the thousands.
And what kind of a life is that for the kids? As of right now there’s supposed to be an estimated 200,000 women in Haiti that are pregnant. And who’s supposed to pay for that. I suppose the people of Haiti expect the people of USA to pay for it when the time comes. And how many of these 200,000 babies will become orphans? And whose going to take care of all those orphans? The United States will be the only country that will probably help them all. I think the people of Haiti and some of those other countries need counseling more than anything. You can’t keep supporting them. You don’t sit back and make babies when you don’t have anything.
Haiti and these other countries are going to have to learn to stand on their own two feet. How come the Domican Republic and Cuba can’t help them out? They live right next door. Most of the manpower that’s helping Haiti is coming from the USA. It’s sad that they had the earthquake. But with all those orphans and pregnant women walking around, the country has got to learn to take care of their own problems and not depend on the United States to pay for it.
