Fourth-graders at Halverson Elementary received science materials from Freeborn- Mower Cooperative Services and Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.
The lessons were based around Dr. Seuss’ book, “The Lorax.” Students discussed various ways to be more “green” and environmentally conscious.
Every student took home a new CFL light bulb and were given the opportunity to complete an energy saving checklist with their parents at home.
